Stories from the IPO, with Elisa Montemayor Dec 22, 2021 | min read People By CI&T One of the challenges we had, when we decided to go public in New York, was having our people, besides executives, on our IPO day. In order to do that, we held an internal draw where CI&Ters from around the world could take part. And the outcome of that couldn't have been better. We were able to have different points of view about that day. The picture of the "Fearless Girl" was taken by Elisa Montemayor, People Success Manager, one of the winners. We had the chance to talk to Elisa on a Wednesday morning, 1 month after the IPO day. Elisa, how was your trip? Tell me about the IPO day, the feelings you had on that day? I was grateful and honored for having the opportunity to represent all the CI&Ters on this special day. I had the chance to meet our employees face to face for the first time. Lastly, being on the trading floor was an awesome experience.Fun fact: My one-year anniversary was in that same week. For you, as a CI&Ter, what’s the meaning of this IPO? I’ve worked for two other companies that went public and I could witness their journeys as well. I believe CI&T is prepared for its growth and future challenges that will come with that. It’s going to be a great learning opportunity for all our employees. It’s going to be a great learning opportunity for all our employees. Elisa Montemayor You took a photo of the Fearless Girl Statue staring at the CI&T flag. What was your intention in doing that? The name of this bronze sculpture is the Fearless Girl. She is tiny, maybe 50 inches/130 cm. She is looking at the NYSE which is pretty huge in scale. The way she is standing there shows her confidence and it appears to me that she is not afraid of anything. The artist was commissioned to represent women in leadership. When I took this picture I wanted her to be the main piece of the picture. I knelt down to take the shot with the intention of making her the biggest I could. The Brazilian and United States flags were captured as well. And you were there at the balcony, what were your sensations there? For me, this was a total surprise. This secret was well kept by the organizers. I was just thrilled to be up there. The energy was amazing. Thanks, Elisa for making this dream come true. CI&T
