São Paulo, August 2021 - CI&T, a Brazilian multinational and a digital specialist for large global brands, has joined the Brazilian Network of the UN Global Compact, an initiative of the United Nations (UN) to engage the business community in the adoption and promotion, in its business practices, of the Ten Universally Accepted Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and corruption fighting. Furthermore, with the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UN Global Compact has also taken on the mission of engaging private sector businesses in this new agenda.

By joining the UN Global Compact, we officially recognize that CI&T's long-term work is engaged and aligned with our ESG practices. Companies adopt our ESG best practices and processes from an environmental, social, and corporate governance perspective in the quest to build a better world and a brighter future.

"We now have an Internal Global ESG Governance Committee whose goal is to promote and formalize our internal efforts and monitor progress relative to the Ten Principles initiative," explains Ana Paula Fraga, Diversity, Inclusion and Social Responsibility manager at CI&T. It's a multidisciplinary committee composed of people from different areas whose mission is to work on strategies and guide our efforts toward concrete action.

We're a Brazilian multinational with a strong commitment to creating equitable growth opportunities and educational and workforce development experiences for underrepresented groups. The end goal is to reduce environmental impact while creating a sustainable world where all people can prosper.

With 26 years of business success behind us, CI&T has the experience to promote a range of sustainable and inclusive ventures. We were recently acknowledged as a Great Place to Work and one of the best places for LGBTQIA+ people to work in Brazil.

UN Global Compact
The UN Global Compact (created in 2000) was conceived by the former UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, and grants its members access to tools that will help CI&T expand its involvement with sustainability issues and discussions in the area. It also enables participation in local and international programs, such as thematic groups that lead projects in the areas of Water, Food and Agriculture, Corruption Fighting, Human Rights and Labor, Energy and Climate, as well as SDGs. With over 15,000 members in around 170 countries, the initiative has over 1,100 members in Brazil, which makes it the country with the third-largest network in the world.
By joining the UN Global Compact, our company must annually report progress on the Ten Principles. This way, the initiative encourages the constant evolution of our internal sustainability practices.
