Comrade joins CI&T – A letter from Comrade’s CEO

To my comrades, clients, colleagues, family and friends,
 
Today marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for Comrade, one that will bring a new set of opportunities and challenges that I know we’ll approach with the same passion, care and “comraderie” that we’ve brought to the last 11 years.
 
I am thrilled to announce we have joined forces with CI&T, a global technology firm. Together we are an unstoppable team of 2,500 professionals worldwide who value creativity, innovation, partnership and, possibly most importantly, each other.
 
For those who have worked for or with Comrade, you’ll know that Christy, Darren and I have put our entire hearts into creating a place that fosters respect, values creativity and teamwork, and celebrates wins, losses, learning, life events, milestones, Lunch Bunch…and family. We built a company we wanted to come to every day, one that you wanted to be at, one that our clients wanted to work with, and one that we all could be proud of and love. With that in mind, we didn’t take the idea of partnership lightly. We didn’t even entertain most of the options that came our way. We cherish what we have and would not stand for anything that compromised or jeopardized the values we’d built our culture on. The essence of Comrade had to be protected.
 
What we found in CI&T was a partner who values their people as much as their product, and who shares the same hungry, can-do approach to partnership and solving problems as ours. They are creative, incredibly smart, generous, kind, hard-working—and boy do they love a good party. Not to mention, they’ve done amazing work. Their technology enabled the world’s largest Photomosaic® ever for Coca-Cola at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. They designed and developed a crowdfunding platform for Johnson & Johnson to support public health initiatives in communities worldwide. They’ve worked with Brazil’s largest private bank, Itaú to accelerate its digital transformation. They’re a Google Premier Partner for Cloud services and they have the biggest army of Drupal developers on the planet.
 
With our strategy and design expertise and CI&T’s technology superpowers, we’ve created a combined force that brings a fast but thoughtful approach to end-to-end initiatives we believe will be incredibly valuable for our current and future clients. We will enable some of the world’s largest companies to achieve their goals, transform the way they do business in a digital age, get products and innovations to market faster, and deliver customer experiences that set them apart.
 
That’s what’s new. What stays the same is our name and who we are. Comrade will continue our work here in the vibrant community of Old Oakland that we’ve been proud to call home since 2010. We bring the same love and passion to what we do and how we do it—and now we’re adding opportunities, capabilities and reach to bring it to the world.
 
I am proud of the company we’ve built, and I thank all of my comrades past and present for helping to make us who we are. I’m looking forward to what the future brings.
