YDUQS and CI&T: Driving the Future of Education With AI

By embedding AI into educational solutions, learning experiences were enhanced, driving new levels of innovation.

Challenges faced

Integrating AI into daily operations at YDUQS required overcoming challenges such as disseminating knowledge, generating new learning pathways, and developing a reference architecture to harness various AI models. The focus was on accelerating team adoption and planning for long-term evolution, positioning YDUQS as an innovative leader in need of a proactive, collaborative partner.

Solutions

Since the beginning, we have been concerned with finding solutions that solve the students' real problems and that, at the same time, innovate the brand. We seek to balance, through product strategies and engineering knowledge, an evolutionary way of applying AI responsibly, controlling the imminent risks of these solutions.

Through our offer of Gen AI Strategic Roadmap, we evaluate the student journey, understanding playing fields, opportunities, risks, investment theses, and developments.

With the application of Gen AI, Data and Enablers, we achieve efficiency gains, team scalability, accelerated steps and activities, with a significant reduction in lead time - activities that previously seemed unfeasible for a solution in days.

As tangible products, we aim to create an engineering platform in an evolutionary way, which could ensure business drivers, circumventing risks, AI hallucinations, cost controls, telemetry, and quality in interactions with students.

We came up with two solutions to achieve the company’s objectives:

GenAI Legendaries

A solution via WhatsApp that allows the capture of qualified leads for new students to join the Enem (National High School Exam) campaign, the primary entry date for new entrants to the organization.

Using our question repository, assisted by Gen AI, an interaction and engagement test for Enem candidates is generated with each character's tone of voice customization. This solution generated 90% positive feedback from users.

Personal assistant

To enhance student responses and improve the high response time of the Tutor, who receives about 70% of administrative doubts, an AI assistant was created to support the student, responding in real time and guiding in problem solving.

This process happens from Estácio's knowledge base, to reduce the burden of administrative doubts that reach tutors. Today, the platform operates with over 70% accuracy in the responses provided. This is a first step towards a long-term strategy aimed at including more AI solutions, supporting students in their studies.

The partnership has allowed YDUQS to launch experiments and solutions for students using Gen AI, expanding use cases and also responsibly evolving the company's internal adoption.
