CI&T's climate strategy integrates the environmental agenda into overall business strategy, guided by climate science, data-driven management, and transparency.

We adopt the GHG Protocol as a baseline for measuring emissions and prepare an annual carbon footprint inventory covering Scopes 1, 2, and 3, accounting for relevant emission sources across the technology and digital services sector.

Beginning in 2024, we adopted a reduction-focused approach, prioritizing investments in initiatives that yield measurable long-term results over an exclusive focus on compensation. This evolution directs our efforts toward energy efficiency and value chain engagement, fostering systemic transformation consistent with the transition to a low-carbon economy.

In 2025, we developed global emission reduction targets with support from specialized consultancy, approved by the ESG Committee and the Board of Directors. In July 2026, we consolidated this commitment through the official validation of our targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a milestone that establishes CI&T as a benchmark in corporate climate action.

CARBON MEASUREMENT

Four Gold Seals and counting

Since 2022, we have been mapping and disclosing our greenhouse gas emissions in the Public Emissions Registry. In every single edition, we received the Gold Seal from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program — the highest recognition for the quality and methodological rigor of our inventory.
