We promote practical action in renewable energy, mobility, and cloud infrastructure to mitigate emissions across our operations and value chain.
Renewable energy

Transitioning to renewable energy sources is a core pillar of CI&T's decarbonization strategy. Currently, 100% of electricity consumption across Brazilian operations — where most of our activities and employees are concentrated — including estimates related to remote work, is covered by renewable energy through I-REC certificates. This approach directly contributes to reducing emissions associated with energy consumption. Furthermore, 72% of the energy consumed in our offices comes from renewable sources, reflecting energy acquired through the free market across our three largest offices in Brazil.

Connecting our people with renewable energy

We maintain a partnership with Flora Energia to offer benefits to CI&Ters in Brazil, connecting users to renewable energy sources and enabling discounts on residential electricity bills. In 2025, this benefit drove an estimated reduction of 13.65 tCO₂e, equivalent to planting 1,707 trees, while also offsetting 350 MWh of electricity consumption through clean energy credits over the year.

Mobility and sustainable fuels

We seek to reduce emissions associated with corporate mobility by encouraging lower-impact alternatives. We provide electric vehicle chargers at our Campinas and Belo Horizonte facilities and, in Brazil, prioritize the use of ethanol in fleet vehicles and rental cars for business travel, promoting choices aligned with the transition toward a low-carbon economy.

Ecomilhas – sustainable urban miles

The program, in partnership with Ecomilhas, encourages more sustainable travel methods by rewarding trips made on foot, by bicycle, public transit, shuttles, or in electric and ethanol-powered vehicles. Participants earn urban miles convertible into multi-benefits, encouraging lower commuting and business travel emissions while deepening employee engagement with climate initiatives.

Cloud-driven company

CI&T operates with a predominantly cloud-based digital architecture, with over 95% of relevant corporate data stored and processed in cloud environments alongside partners committed to energy transition. This model reduces dependence on local physical infrastructure, enhances computing resource efficiency, and decreases emissions tied to traditional data centers.

Engaging our workforce

The evolution of CI&T's environmental strategy is sustained by the continuous development of internal capabilities. Through LinkedIn Learning, we offer learning pathways focused on the climate crisis, corporate environmental strategy, and Green Software/Green Coding practices, promoting the integration of environmental criteria into digital solutions and daily decision-making.

We are committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, focusing particularly on Scopes 2 and 3, which account for the largest share of our footprint. Our actions prioritize source reduction and reflect implemented efforts across operations, mobility practices, and technology infrastructure.
