Overview

We believe that technology and sustainability move forward together to create lasting value for our clients and society.

A better tomorrow requires sustainability to be one of the pillars of our strategy, and we understand that it is not merely a matter of environmental responsibility, but a necessary systemic change to ensure a sustainable future for the planet.

Since establishing the Sustainability Department in 2009, CI&T has been structuring a consistent environmental governance model and implementing initiatives to reduce its environmental impact. This journey includes measuring carbon emissions, responsible management of electronic waste, and actions aimed at the efficient use of natural resources such as water and energy, integrating sustainability into operational practices and corporate strategy.

Starting in 2022, we intensified the management of our climate impact, structuring the quantification of greenhouse gas emissions based on the GHG Protocol and broadening transparency through participation in external assessments such as CDP, EcoVadis, and CSA, in addition to annual disclosures of environmental information in our ESG Report, prepared in alignment with the GRI and SASB frameworks.

In 2024 and 2025, we evolved our climate strategy with a significant shift in approach: we prioritized effective emission reductions through the development of robust, science-based targets. It is a historic milestone for CI&T that, in July 2026, our decarbonization targets were officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This international endorsement attests to the seriousness, credibility, and ambition of our global climate strategy, positioning us at the forefront of the technology sector, as we became the first software company in Latin America to have science-based net-zero targets validated by the SBTi.
