BUILDING DATA TRUST: ESTABLISHING A SCALABLE GOVERNANCE FOUNDATION How a Large Enterprise Strengthened Data Governance and Enabled Trusted Analytics As data ecosystems expand, access often grows faster than clarity. Enterprise Data Catalog Implementation: Full deployment across the data environment, beginning with complete Snowflake asset coverage. Metadata & Domain Framework: Defined data domains, standardized metadata models, and established ownership and stewardship roles. Column-Level Classification: Reviewed and classified more than 8,000 columns, enabling automated identification of sensitive data. End-to-End Lineage Mapping: Mapped priority data products to increase change transparency and reduce operational risk. Enablement & Adoption: Trained teams to actively use the catalog, improving data literacy and encouraging long-term governance practices. The solution was delivered with a lean operational model and low ongoing cost.
